Electrical Firmware Test Engineer (Contract) - Irvine, CA Build technology that supports life-changing medical devices. We're seeking an experienced Electrical Firmware Test Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Irvine, CA. This onsite role offers the potential for extension and is ideal for an engineer with expertise in embedded firmware, electrical testing, PCB design, and automated test systems. Important: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot embedded firmware using C/C++. Design and support automated test systems, test fixtures, and electrical test equipment. Perform electrical testing, debugging, and root cause analysis on PCB-based systems. Collaborate with software, electrical, systems, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams. Support product verification, validation, and manufacturing testing. Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures. Ensure compliance with medical device quality and engineering standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of embedded firmware and electrical engineering experience. Strong C/C++ programming skills. Experience with microcontroller-based systems, PCB troubleshooting, and automated test equipment. Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Medical device, aerospace, or other regulated industry experience is a plus. Schedule: Onsite in Irvine, CA * Contract position with possible extension beyond 12 months.
