As a Security Officer Access Portal in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, manage access control procedures, and support a secure environment through visible presence, routine activity, and strong communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
• Support utility location operations by helping to control restricted area access, reporting maintenance or operational concerns observed during duties, and following post orders for sensitive infrastructure areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
