Job Description




As a Security Officer Screening Operations in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help support daily screening operations by monitoring entry points, inspecting property, and assisting with x-ray screening procedures. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or permitted items in accordance with site policies, and help to identify prohibited items or unusual activity for appropriate follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document security-related events, observations, and/or screening results according to post procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • X ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
