Description
The Business Solutions Architect works as part of the TIS sales team and is responsible for leading analysis workshops at potential client sites and developing business cases to identify the value Cass services can deliver through process improvements, enhanced analytics and improved working capital. The Business Solutions Architect also works with other members of the sales team to respond to client RFP's. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manages the creation and delivery of Cass proposals for RFI, RFQ and RFP responses in coordination with other members of the sales and/or Client Relations and creation and maintenance of an RFP database.
- Works with TIS sales representatives and potential clients to lead 1 - 2 day on site analysis workshops.
- Develops and presents business case to potential client which summarizes findings from the analysis workshop and makes recommendations on how Cass services can meet the client's needs.
- Using information documented during the analysis workshop and business case, works with the TIS sales representatives and the Implementation team, to complete the Statement of Work (SOW) and Client Requirements Document (CRD) for contracted clients.
- Provides demonstrations of Cass solutions to prospective clients either in person or remotely.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization up to senior executives of major corporations.
- Highly effective listening skills and the ability to discuss creative solutions.
- Proven track record of success in a technical service environment offering complex custom solutions to executives of major corporations.
- An understanding of how a complex sales process works and ability to participate in sales presentations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex processes.
- Self-motivated, high initiative, and results-orientated team player with excellent follow-up skills.
- Enthusiastic and professional demeanor exhibiting a high-level of honesty and sincerity.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Strong planning and organizing skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to travel, domestically and on occasion internationally, up to 30%.
- Willingness to perform necessary administrative functions to ensure all details are properly completed.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new products, services, and information and apply this knowledge to the sales process.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:
- A bachelor's degree in business, transportation, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5 years of experience, preferably in a service or financial solution (non-product) environment.
- Prior experience with Information Systems management in transportation or similar industry preferred.
