POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Yardi Specialist is a key member of the Information Technology team, responsible for ensuring an outstanding level of customer service by providing Yardi Voyager support and training to employees across all Dominium properties. This role is responsible for prioritizing support requests, developing training curriculum, ensuring defined service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and engaging our customer base to ensure ongoing satisfaction. The Senior Yardi Specialist serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on Yardi Voyager and related integrations, working cross-functionally with Property Management, Accounting, Compliance, and IT teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Administers and maintains all applications in the Yardi Suite including Voyager, Site Manager, and RightSource; including system configuration and updates.
  2. Provides exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for Yardi Voyager support, ensuring all users can effectively use the system to achieve business goals; establish, document, and continuously improve Help Desk solutions and support workflows.
  3. Develops, researches, and maintains IT support topics, FAQs, and how-to guides in the organization's internal Knowledge Base (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
  4. Supervises the Yardi Training program, providing new employee onboarding and ongoing follow-up training on Dominium software for all on-site property employees and home office staff.
  5. Designs and delivers Yardi training modules, e-learning courses, and instructor-led classes for Dominium University and in-person sessions, utilizing a blended learning approach (LMS, virtual, in-person) for both property and home office employees.
  6. Writes and maintains user documentation for the Online Voyager Manual in the OPPM, training manuals, and assist other departments with procedure documentation.
  7. Serves as Yardi system administrator responsible for user access, security roles, and license management including provisioning new employees and deprovisioning terminated employees in alignment with company policies and SOX/audit requirements.
  8. Participates in the coordination of Yardi software upgrades and patches, including evaluation of release notes, determination of upgrade timing, regression testing in the sandbox environment, and identification of resulting training needs prior to go-live.
  9. Collaborates with Yardi Client Services, IT, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot Voyager issues, submit support tickets, and manage resolution workflows in a timely manner per SLA commitments.
  10. Supports year-end operations including CRP (Certificate of Rent Paid) processing, 1099 preparation, budget loading, and data integrity projects such as ledger clean-up and property acquisition/disposition migrations.
  11. Attends software training courses, webinars, and industry conferences (e.g., YASC, NAA, NMHC) to maintain and deepen platform knowledge; travel to properties and conferences as needed.
  12. Works on special projects as assigned, including new module implementations (e.g., Yardi Aspire, Yardi Elevate, RentCafe CRM), system integrations, and process improvement initiatives; and performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training and Experience.)



  • Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Yardi Voyager (version 7S preferred) in a multi-family residential housing environment.
  • Experience with Yardi product suite a plus: RentCafe, PAYscan/PaymentPlus, Yardi Maintenance, Yardi Affordable Housing (HUD/RD/LIHTC), Yardi Aspire, or Yardi Elevate.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Voyager system administration: user security, system configuration, report writing (Yardi Report Writer/SSRS), and workflow management.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager integrations (e.g., bank integrations, electronic payments, utility billing, vendor portals).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Yardi Aspire, Absorb, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with IT Help Desk ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries for data research/reporting is a plus.
  • Understanding of multi-family property management business processes: leasing, rent collection, accounts payable/receivable, work orders, and affordable housing compliance (HUD, LIHTC, HOME, RD).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a track record of diagnosing Yardi system issues and implementing effective resolutions.
