Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst I is an early career role responsible for supporting ERP systems and related business applications in a manufacturing environment. This position assists with issue resolution, requirements and process documentation, testing, system maintenance, and user support while building foundational knowledge of business processes and system functionality. Working under the guidance of more experienced analysts and technical resources, the role helps translate business needs into practical system solutions and supports continuous improvement efforts. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, collaboration, and a service-oriented mindset.



Key Duties

ERP Support & Issue Resolution
Provide first-level support for ERP system issues and user inquiries
Troubleshoot basic system problems and escalate more complex issues
Assist with monitoring system performance and identifying recurring issues
Business Analysis Support
Gather and document basic business and system requirements
Assist in analyzing workflows and identifying areas for improvement
Support senior analysts in projects and process improvement initiatives
System Maintenance & Enhancements
Assist with system configuration and minor enhancements
Support testing activities, including test case execution and defect tracking
Help implement system updates, patches, and releases
Testing & Documentation
Execute test scripts and document test results
Maintain system documentation and update process materials
Assist in creating user guides and training documentation
Security & Compliance Assistance
Support user access requests and role assignments
Assist with audit preparation and documentation collection
Follow established security and compliance procedures
Learning & Development
Develop knowledge of ERP systems, business processes, and IT standards
Participate in training and mentorship opportunities
Build technical and functional expertise across ERP modules
Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, business applications, testing, documentation, or user support.
Demonstrated customer-service mindset and ability to work effectively with business users.
Foundational understanding of ERP systems and business applications
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Ability to support testing, issue resolution, and process documentation
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Technical aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned tasks, and follow established procedures
Basic awareness of security, access controls, and compliance requirements

Travel 10%

Preferred:
Exposure to Infor XA or similar ERP systems
Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, XML, or programming
Experience in a manufacturing, regulated, or audit-driven environment
Exposure to user support materials, training documentation, or project coordination activities
