Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent relevant work experience)
• Previous manufacturing, foundry, grinding, or production experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinding equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes
• Ability to visually inspect castings and identify cosmetic defects
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs (with assistance when needed) and stand, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime as required and follow all PPE and safety guidelines

Job Duties:

• Operate grinding equipment to remove cosmetic defects from castings prior to machining
• Visually inspect castings to identify defects before and after grinding
• Produce quality surface finishes that meet company standards
• Report casting defects and quality concerns to supervisors for corrective action
• Ensure products meet quality requirements before entering the machining process
• Maintain grinding equipment, hand tools, machinery, and work areas in good condition
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed
• Wear required PPE and follow all company safety procedures
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform additional production and manufacturing duties as assigned
