Requirements: At least 3 years of experience operating manual surface grinders and milling machines High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship is a plus Strong knowledge of feeds/speeds, machining practices, and blueprint reading Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools Familiarity with tight tolerances (0.001) and working with various metals like steel and aluminum Experience in toolroom, mold, or die work preferred Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Job Duties: Operate manual surface grinders and milling machines to meet exact part specifications Set up machines by selecting proper wheels, tools, speeds, and feeds Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical layouts Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges Maintain documentation for quality checks and completed jobs Monitor machine performance and make fine-tune adjustments Perform basic maintenance and keep your work area clean and organized Follow all safety protocols and work independently to meet daily goals Benefits: Solid Pay: Weekly paychecks you can count on.
