Location: Phoenix, AZ

Hours: Monday - Thursday; 5:00am - 3:00pm


Job Summary

The General Assembly Operator is responsible for the assembly and light manufacturing of Fireline products. This position performs cutting, taping, assembling, packaging, and shipping functions while ensuring products meet established quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality products that support on-time customer delivery.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fabricate, cut, tape, and package Fireline products according to production specifications.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Fireline product line.
  • Manufacture products to support customer orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Pick, package, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
  • Perform periodic inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Follow all ISO procedures, work instructions, and production order (POS) requirements.
  • Safely operate forklifts and production equipment.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager, Production Lead, and team members regarding production priorities.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or college coursework is a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing software systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts or willingness to become certified.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and production equipment.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and works closely with the Production Lead and all manufacturing team members.


Authority & Accountability

  • Stop production when quality or safety concerns are identified.
  • Recommend or implement production or machine schedule adjustments within department guidelines.
  • Support and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
