As a Resident Advocate, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents while serving as a key member of the Housing Rapid Rehousing (HRR) team. This dynamic position combines client engagement, building oversight, and administrative support to ensure daily operations run smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing guidance, resources, and compassionate support while monitoring common areas, documenting client interactions, and helping maintain a positive community atmosphere. The ideal Resident Advocate is passionate about CCC's mission and believes in treating every individual with dignity and respect. They understand the impact of trauma, homelessness, substance use, and systemic barriers on the people we serve. They are skilled at balancing accountability with compassion, maintaining safety while building trust, and supporting clients through challenging situations. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to fostering an inclusive environment where residents feel supported, valued, and empowered. Program: The Golden West is a five-story historic building located in the Old Town neighborhood of NW Portland, consisting of 73 single-room occupancy units. All units are subsidized through CCC's Housing Rapid Response Program or Community Engagement Program. There are 5 Fair Market SRO units occupied through a waiting list open to the general public. Every year, we serve more than 13,000 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness with affordable and supportive housing, person-centered health care, addiction recovery and employment assistance. By providing health care, housing, and jobs, CCC is ending homelessness in Portland and helping people achieve their highest potential. Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Tuesday 3:00pm - 11:30pm (Wednesday and Thursday off) Location: Golden West - 707 NW Everett St, Portland, OR 97209 Compensation: $22.05/hr - $29.25/hr Final comp will be determined based on relevant experience, education, credentials/licensure, and internal equity. External candidates: Offer max $25.58/hr per our Union contract.
