Utz Quality Foods is looking for a Health and Benefits Manager to lead the day-to-day success of Utz's health, welfare, wellness, and return-to-work programs. In this role, you'll combine strategy and execution-driving program performance, ensuring compliance, partnering with vendors, and helping deliver a positive, people-centered experience for a multi-state workforce.

What You'll Do



  • Lead the day-to-day administration of health and welfare benefits, including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, disability, life, and voluntary programs.
  • Implement and optimize benefit point solutions and wellness programs that align with business goals and employee needs.
  • Monitor utilization, performance metrics, and ROI, and turn insights into recommendations that strengthen programs and improve the employee experience.
  • Partner with the Director of Health & Benefits to execute strategy, support annual planning, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion health and wellness initiatives across the organization to improve employee wellbeing, engagement, and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Support open enrollment, benefit communications, and employee education with clear, helpful, and timely information.
  • Own the ADA accommodation and interactive process, ensuring timely, compliant, and well-documented assessments and coordination of reasonable accommodations.
  • Maintain compliant processes and documentation while balancing employee care, business needs, and a strong overall experience.
  • Manage benefit and wellness vendors to drive performance, service quality, and measurable program success.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits, accommodations, and leave programs.
  • Help shape return-to-work practices that are thoughtful, inclusive, and aligned with legal requirements and organizational goals.


What You Bring

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Nursing, or a related field.


Experience



  • 7+ years of experience in health benefits, healthcare operations, population health, care management, wellness program administration, or a related healthcare or benefits environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employer-sponsored benefit programs, including health plans, wellness initiatives, disability, and leave programs, gained through direct benefits experience or healthcare program management.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or supporting health, wellness, or population-based programs, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, workforce-focused solutions.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with vendors, providers, or third-party administrators to deliver high-quality programs and services.


Skills



  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, disability, and multi-state leave requirements, or the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and program management skills, with the ability to balance compliance, employee experience, and business priorities.
  • A thoughtful, people-centered approach to employee health and wellbeing, with a commitment to inclusive accommodations and effective return-to-work practices.
