We're looking for a Chemical Process Operator to support our aerospace manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role working with chemical processing equipment, stripping operations, surface preparation, and part inspections. You'll play a key role in ensuring parts meet quality requirements while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform chemical strip operations according to process specifications
  • Maintain process tanks, submit samples to the lab, and make required chemical additions
  • Wear and properly use required PPE, including face shields, safety glasses, gloves, chemical aprons, and other protective equipment
  • Wax and wax-inject parts as required
  • Perform grit blasting and heat tint operations
  • Conduct strip inspections and verify parts meet requirements
  • Complete shop traveler documentation and maintain process logbooks
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and identify maintenance needs
  • Maintain quality standards and production requirements
  • Follow IPM, QPM, and ISO quality requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicate quality concerns to supervisors in a timely manner
  • Help with other shop duties as needed


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Chemical handling experience required
  • Previous light or medium industrial experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
  • Comfortable working with production documentation and shop travelers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.


The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
