About the Team

The Technical Insights Team is part of the Technology business unit within the Product Engineering delivery organization. The team delivers technology products by partnering closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define, prioritize, build, and continuously improve digital capabilities. Team members combine business analysis, Agile product ownership, and delivery leadership to translate business strategy into actionable product requirements, guide development teams through iterative delivery, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value. The team also promotes continuous improvement by leveraging AI-enabled tools, automation, and Agile best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Crowe is seeking a talented and driven Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our Product Engineering practice. This individual will serve in a hybrid Business Analyst and Product Owner capacity on a Scrum team responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of the Insight product used by Crowe's Audit practice. The role is responsible for translating business objectives and user needs into actionable product requirements, driving backlog refinement and prioritization, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that create measurable business value. The ideal candidate should be passionate about continuous improvement, product innovation, Agile delivery, and leveraging emerging technologies to improve both user experience and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to peers.

  • Partner with Product Manager, stakeholders, and development teams to translate business goals and objectives into actionable product requirements.

  • Ability to acquire a deep understanding of our products and systems, including their capabilities, features, and technical specifications.

  • Perform analysis of large-scale epics for decomposition and partner with Program Leadership and teams to ensure accurate scoping, feasibility assessment, and effort estimation for epics and features.

  • Lead refinement sessions to decompose features into user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria for the development team.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate Agile ceremonies and elicitation sessions with the Product Manager and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and clarify requirements and/or issues.

  • Lead backlog management and refinement activities assisting in prioritizing and sequencing work items based upon business value and technical complexity.

  • Provide regular updates to the Scrum team and Program Leadership, proactively identifying and communicating risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact delivery.

  • Develop and conduct product presentations and/or demonstrations that effectively communicate the value, benefits, capabilities and features to various stakeholders and development team members.

  • Partner with the Development Lead to facilitate Agile team effectiveness through Scrum ceremonies, continuous improvement activities, and shared Scrum Master responsibilities.

  • Serve as a change agent on identified Agile process improvements for the development team.

  • Perform change management activities in support of product releases.

  • Partner with the QA Lead to plan, coordinate, and support User Acceptance Testing activities and ensure business requirements are validated.

  • Coordinate across development teams to identify, manage, and communicate dependencies and associated risks.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, to identify, prioritize, and drive resolution of production issues, minimizing user impact and business disruption.

  • Identify and leverage AI-enabled tools and automation opportunities to enhance requirements analysis, backlog management, documentation quality, stakeholder engagement, and overall product delivery effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of BA and/or Product Owner experience

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong understanding of work decomposition techniques

  • Exceptional learning agility and the ability to adapt quickly

  • Proficient level of understanding of Product Development and Software Development Life Cycles

  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively convey business and technical information to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and proactively, communicating with diverse stakeholders, program leadership, and team members as a part of a larger program fostering strong relationships and driving results

  • Proactive, self-starter, with a natural inclination toward taking individual initiative and personal accountability

  • High degree of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tool

  • Experience using generative AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, or similar technologies to support business analysis, product ownership, and Agile delivery activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certification

  • Experience with SharePoint / Microsoft 365 / Teams or similar collaboration tool

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
