WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Director, Finance Intelligent Automation & Controls within the Office of the US CFO will own the prototype-to-pilot pipeline for AI-enabled transformation across Regulatory Reporting, Financial Control, Product Control, and FP&A, personally building agentic AI prototypes that accelerate core finance production workflows while establishing governable, reusable technical patterns for enterprise productionization. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Shape and execute the multi-year Finance AI roadmap across data, automation, AI, reporting, and workflow optimization - sequenced by addressable value and business impact rather than technology novelty
- Identify high-value AI use cases and personally build the first working agentic AI prototype against core production workflows (data sourcing, reconciliation, report production, variance commentary, review stack, inquiry response)
- Establish and track value-realization metrics including productivity gains, cycle-time reduction, reporting quality improvements, and decision support effectiveness
- Define the prototype-to-pilot hand-off pattern and technical standards that Technology teams will adopt to productionize solutions for enterprise scale
- Design for governance, audit, controls, and compliance from inception - establishing patterns for evaluation, human-in-the-loop approval, audit trails, and knowledge grounding across all solutions
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to identify and improve Finance data assets, quality, lineage, and accessibility to unblock AI delivery
- Build and sustain US Finance AI Academy - a structured upskilling program with communities of practice, adoption initiatives, and measurable outcomes across the Finance function
- Lead stakeholder management with senior Finance leadership, CFO organization, and global Technology/Data teams to influence design decisions and align priorities on investment
- Track emerging AI capability and maintain forward-looking adoption view, evaluating generative AI and agentic AI solutions without chasing tooling for its own sake
- Ensure every solution meets enterprise requirements for security, controls, compliance, audit, and resilience while applying agile delivery discipline
- Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Provide thought leadership and work independently, while demonstrating strong attention to details.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical credential preferred
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles at a major financial institution
- Deep domain expertise across Regulatory Reporting, Financial Control, Product Control, or FP&A, demonstrating understanding of how financial numbers are produced, reviewed, and challenged
- Demonstrated hands-on AI/ML delivery experience: personally built and shipped LLM-based or agentic solutions in production environments (not sponsorship or oversight alone)
- Strong judgment in designing solutions for governance, audit, and controls from inception, with ability to discern genuinely solvable problems within current AI constraints
- Senior-level executive communication and credibility - capable of operating with direct CFO and ExCo visibility while influencing cross-functional decisions
- Proven builder's bias: comfortable producing working prototypes in days, iterating in front of stakeholders, and translating between domain and technical teams
- Technical fluency sufficient to direct (not necessarily build) modern AI/data stacks: Python, SQL, RAG and agentic frameworks, vector stores, cloud data platforms, and workflow orchestration
- Experience driving measurable adoption and change management at scale within complex, regulated environments
Nice-to-have:
- Capital markets product knowledge spanning rates, credit, equities, FX, and derivatives with familiarity to the trade lifecycle
- Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts sufficient to direct and evaluate model-based work
- Experience standing up upskilling programs, communities of practice, or capability centers within large Finance or Technology organizations
- Exposure to enterprise data governance, semantic layers, and metadata management frameworks

We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
