CAD Technician III (64.26)

JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Assists in ensuring that all capital and new business project plans are prepared in accordance with Plans, Specifications, Special Provisions, Standard Drawings, Drafting Standards and Approved Material List.
* Assists Engineers in preparing exhibits and compiling information for master plan preparations, capital budgets, project status reports, project schedules, hydraulic models and rate base projections.
* Performs electronic drafting of new business and capital projects based on verbal instructions provided by Engineers
* Prepares as-built plans of completed projects and supervises updates to system maps by other technicians or consultants.
* Trains lower level Engineering CAD Technicians.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Works under general supervision.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Associate of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology preferred.
* Four years of CAD experience in the design of water distribution, storage and supply facilities.
* Effective typing, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to read engineering plans and maps.
* Ability to train other Technicians.
* AutoCAD certification(s) required.
* Proficiency with GIS applications utilizing AutoCAD Map required.

May include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening for extended periods of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
