The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position. DEPARTMENT: Mokara Spa JOB TITLE: Licensed Massage Therapist REPORTS TO: Spa Director, Spa Supervisor JOB PURPOSE: The Massage Therapist is responsible for guest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Omni standards throughout all procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * To work as part of the Mokara Spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance of harmony in their lives. * Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and setting up the treatment rooms according to procedures. * Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines. * Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste. * Begin and end treatments at the published time, and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are always being followed. * Ensure all guests depart with a completed prescription form after every service. * Strive to consistently produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales daily, weekly, and monthly. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 1-year experience in massage therapy, preferably in an upscale salon or spa setting. * Ability to obtain a State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission server permit before date of hire. * Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage. * Good verbal/written communication skills. * Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. * Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. * Commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers, always operating with a strong attention to detail to the client's needs. * Ability to work well under pressure, managing back to back appointments in a high volume 4 diamond environment. * Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including being on call for weekends, evenings, and holidays. * Responsible and dependable with ability to fulfill on-call scheduling needs. * Ability to obtain a State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission server permit. ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS * Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. * Stand and/or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. * Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: * Desktop computer (Opera, SpaSoft, Oracle, Birchstreet, Kronos and Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner.
