Position Summary:

The Associate Operational Compliance Analyst supports operational business units by developing, maintaining, and improving compliance standards, procedures, and documentation. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements through collaboration with operational teams and Regulatory Compliance. The analyst researches regulatory changes, assists with audits, monitors compliance activities, and provides guidance on compliance-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Procedures, Processes, and Practices

  • Research and analyze applicable regulations, requirements, and industry standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance oversight with assigned regulatory standards.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain operational procedures. compliance protocols, processes, and work instructions..

  • Provide guidance on implementing compliance procedures.
  • Reporting to regulatory agencies.

Compliance Monitoring and Review

  • Track, document and develop compliance controls and related data.
  • Identify compliance gaps, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate compliance issues.
  • Support company-wide compliance reviews in partnership with Regulatory Compliance.
  • Responsible for maintaining evidence supporting compliance.

Consultation and Training

  • Respond to complex compliance questions from operational teams.
  • Provide compliance guidance and training to employees.
  • Serve as a resource for regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Research and Analysis

  • Monitor changes in regulations, technology, and operational processes.
  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on PGE current operations.
  • Recommend operational improvements to maintain compliance.

Compliance Audits

  • Assist with internal and external audits related to federal regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather documentation and evidence supporting audit activities.
  • Respond to Data Requests including written responses and in-person interviews.
  • Help address audit findings and corrective action plans.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Technical field, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Two or more years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Utility operations
    • Cybersecurity
    • Auditing
    • Regulatory compliance
  • Experience with FERC and NERC regulations preferred.

Certifications

  • NERC Certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FERC and NERC compliance programs.
  • NERC Certification.
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits within the utility industry.
