Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant providing support to Program Executive Office for Nuclear Command, Control, Communications Sustainment Division (NCL). The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. This position's primary role will provide senior-level administrative and human resources support to Directorate leadership and staff by applying knowledge of Air Force civilian and military personnel systems; prepare briefings, correspondence, and management documentation; research and assess HR issues; support seniorlevel meetings and program events; coordinate and document physical and virtual meetings and conferences; and provide travel planning and DTS-related support within prescribed contractor authorities. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Base, Hanscom, MA.
Responsibilities
Advise and administratively support Human Resources activities through factual, clear, concise, and appropriately coordinated written communications (briefings, memoranda, signatory drafts, and other documents).
- Use knowledge of Air Force civilian and military personnel systems to research, assess, and provide recommendations on HR issues and initiatives.
- Prepare management documentation and briefing materials for senior leadership; present or support presentations as required.
- Provide staff support to senior managers and organizational staff: compile and analyze information for projects, track deliverables, and prepare background papers and talking points.
- Coordinate, schedule, document, and support a variety of meetings and conferences (in-person and virtual), including:
- Prepare and distribute meeting invitations and background materials.
- Ensure required participants are invited and confirm attendance.
- Maintain attendance logs, minutes, action item trackers, and assign/update action officers.
- File and archive meeting documentation in accordance with organizational policy.
- Maintain meeting and conferencing schedules, video/online conferencing setup instructions, and equipment maintenance logs; provide on-site or virtual meeting execution support.
- Monitor progress toward completion of taskings and initiatives; keep leadership informed on issues affecting Directorate mission.
- Draft and coordinate program policy guidance and initiative communications for distribution across the organization.
- Provide travel planning and execution support, to include acting as a NonDTS Entry Agent (NDEA) where authorized; perform CBA reconciliation at assigned permission levels consistent with DoD/Service guidance and restrictions.
- Support planning and execution of program events (logistics, participant coordination, material preparation).
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support senior leadership and mission requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Current Active Secret Clearance required at time of application Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Years of Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible administrative or HR support experience, including direct support to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience with Air Force civilian and/or military personnel systems, policies, and procedures.
- Experience coordinating highlevel meetings, producing minutes and actionitem trackers, and preparing briefing materials for senior leadership.
- Experience with travel planning and Defense Travel System (DTS) processes preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: SHRMCP/SHRMSCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent.
- Prior military service or DoD HR/Manpower experience.
- Prior experience as an NDEA or with DTS permission levels and CBA reconciliation.
- Familiarity with organizational records filing policies and information assurance practices.
Additional Information Location: Hanscom Air Base On-site/Hybrid/Remote (only list one of the three upon creating a new job): Onsite Travel: 10%
Pay Range
USD $75,000.00 - USD $94,000.00 /Yr.
