Foundry Operator - 4th Shift

Location: Mentor, Ohio
Schedule: 4th Shift - 12-Hour Rotating Shifts, 6pm-6am

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Foundry Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mentor, Ohio. In this role, you'll be an essential part of our foundry operations, working with advanced vacuum furnace technology to produce high-quality castings in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

As a Foundry Operator, you will train and develop the skills necessary to perform the duties of a Vacuum Casting Technician, including:

  • Operate vacuum furnaces, including Equiax, Directional Solidification (D.S.), and Single Crystal furnaces
  • Accurately record production and process information
  • Ram crucibles and perform furnace changeovers, including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Engineering Procedures, and Special Lot Instructions
  • Meet established productivity and efficiency standards
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping and organization within the foundry department
  • Monitor and maintain knowledge of production processes and materials
  • Complete and maintain required production documentation
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and leadership to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • Manufacturing, foundry, furnace, or industrial experience is a plus
