Summary

Provide Army Medical Department Branch Specific (ABS) and Common Core (CC) subject matter expert (SME) to support training services for the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), Department of Leader Training (DLT), Captains Career Course, Medical Center of Excellence.

Tasks include assisting in developing curriculum and instructional materials, conducting training, and providing subject-matter expertise. Specific objectives are to assist in the development of accurate and effective instructional and technical support materials, achieve student success through the conduct of the training, doctrine review, and provide accurate and timely technical information and support to leadership

The primary objective is to provide Common core and AMEDD Branch Specific subject matter expert (SME) support and training services for 6-8-C22 Captains Career Course (9 weeks, 16-195 students), and 6-8-C23 Captains Career Course (Reserve Component) (two two-week blocks, 17-68 students)

Job Description



  • Perform the duties and tasks of an Advanced Instructor and SME for the US CC curriculum and AMEDD branch specific training programs
  • Assist in development and updating instructional materials
  • Conduct classroom instruction
  • Provide SME support to Computer-/Web-Based Training (CBT/WBT) instructional designers and programmers
  • Provide SME/scientific technical support
  • Perform course administrative functions
  • Perform typical training logistics activities


Qualifications and Experience



  • Have a Bachelor's degree
  • Have experience as an AMEDD officer as a graduate of the U.S. Army Medical Department CCC. Exception in place for prior 67J/90A AMEDD officers with AMEDD experience but did not complete AMEDD CCC.
  • Able to stand and walk around classroom/laboratory for 2 hours continuously and intermittently for 2 hours.
  • Six (6) years of experience and training in combined arms doctrine as an AMEDD officer. Resume must reflect sufficient level of expertise and experience in operational assignments as an AMEDD officer.
  • Exhibit knowledge of safety regulations and procedures and shall adhere to applicable safety regulations and policies.
  • Experience providing instruction in a virtual environment over the internet using programs such as Blackboard, Microsoft TEAMS, ZOOM, or other virtual enhancement programs.


Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
