Summary Provide instructor/subject matter expert (SME) services at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in support of the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE)/Department of Operational Medicine (DoOM). Critical Care Flight Paramedic course consists of 104 hours of classroom didactics in critical care medicine including pharmacology, pathophysiology and key elements of enroute critical care. The course also includes 176 hours of practical experience including hospital intensive care units, ground ambulance, and air ambulance observation in the local area of operations. The final 40 hours is spent on operationalization to include certification testing and Army-specific equipment orientation. Didactic time is during standard Plan of Instruction (POI) time of 0700-1700. Clinical rotation component of the course will occur during days and nights typically (8-12-hour shifts). Duration of clinical rotations are 4 weeks, including weekends. Services for this contract shall be provided at JBSA Fort Sam Houston/MEDCoE/Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) government facilities.
