Summary of role

Lantheus is seeking a motivated Senior Buyer of Direct Materials to manage procurement activity and supplier relationships. This position leverages SAP S/4Hana system expertise and negotiation capabilities to place orders, ensure timeline delivery of materials (expediting when necessary) and drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to effectively partner with Category Managers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to optimize supply chain processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is based in Bedford, MA and requires a presence on-site (two/three) days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions



  • Execute day-to-day purchasing activities in SAP, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier releases.
  • Monitor material availability and manage supplier delivery schedules to meet production timelines.
  • Serve as primary liaison for day-to-day supplier contact and document supplier performance in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement with suppliers, using systems and tools to monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate master data and MRP parameters in SAP to support procurement accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows and support ERP enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Process Change Controls, Deviations, and CAPAs as needed.
  • Prepare analytical reports and dashboards summarizing procurement performance and recommendations.
  • Consistently demonstrate Lantheus values with a focus on accountability, quality, customer service, efficiency, collaboration, and safety.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or similar positions required; Experience in radiopharma or pharma sourcing preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Significant Experience using ERP systems for purchasing (SAP S/4Hana experience highly preferred) and other procurement tools.
  • Ability to negotiate in varied scenarios with and without leverage and with limited data when necessary.
  • Knowledge of GMP and FDA compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work across levels and functions within the organization and within matrixed environments required; Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to lead meetings and produce actionable reports.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity and prioritize effectively.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to thrive in a changing environment.
  • Experience managing and improving supplier performance.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office other enterprise software.


Other Requirements



  • This position requires 3 days/week on site minimum (4 days preferred) in Bedford, MA.
  • Travel approximately 15% in accordance with business requirements

The pay range for this position is between $80,000 and $119,000 annually.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive, and depending on the level of the role may be eligible for a discretionary annual equity award. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
