The Diane Filion Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) is hiring an Instructional Designer II to support faculty in designing and improving online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses. CAFE is UMKC's hub for instructional innovation and faculty development, serving all academic units with a commitment to inclusive, effective, and engaging teaching. As part of the instructional design team at CAFE, the Instructional Designer II works directly with faculty to enhance course design, integrate evidence-based teaching practices, and support student success. This position combines pedagogical consultation with technical knowledge of instructional tools and plays a key role in improving the quality and accessibility of learning experiences across the university. Key Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $22.10 - $26.10 per hour. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Missouri provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
