Job Summary

TheClass A CDL Driver/Warehouse Associate isto support daily transportation and warehouse operations. This temp-to-perm opportunity is responsible for delivering materials, securing cargo, loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse equipment, and assisting with warehouse functions as business needs require. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the flexibility to split time between driving and warehouse responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including automatic tractor flatbed trailers, pickup trucks with flatbed trailers, and other assigned equipment.
• Transport materials such as pipe, iron fittings, valves, and related products to customer locations.
• Properly secure cargo using straps and other approved load securement methods.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Unload or assist in unloading materials at customer locations.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete all required delivery documentation.
• Pick up customer returns and verify returned materials.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding delivery status and operational updates.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety requirements.
• Report vehicle issues, accidents, moving violations, or maintenance needs promptly.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely within the warehouse.
• Assist with receiving inventory, stocking materials, warehouse organization, and general housekeeping.
• Support additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during all customer interactions.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum of one year of Class A commercial driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Experience securing flatbed loads using straps and other cargo securement methods.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic smartphone proficiency.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism.
• Ability to comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Must be comfortable operating vehicles equipped with driver-facing and vehicle-mounted cameras.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Work Experience

• Minimum of one year of Class A commercial driving experience.
• Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience required.
