Field Service Technician (Direct Hire)

Location: Austin, TX

Pay: Up to $31/hour

We are hiring a Field Service Technician with calibration expertise to support a high-performance ISO 17025-accredited laboratory. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical measurement, metrology, and instrumentation calibration, offering both lab-based and occasional field service work.

Schedule Requirement

• Training: 1st Shift (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Permanent: 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precision calibration on electrical and RF test equipment
• Conduct on-site calibration services and document measurement results
• Maintain and verify lab standards and test equipment performance
• Support ISO 17025 quality systems, audits, and compliance initiatives
• Assist with calibration process improvements and troubleshooting
• Participate in non-conformance investigations and corrective actions

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field + 3 years of calibration/testing experience, OR
• Formal calibration training + 4 years of electrical calibration experience
• Experience with oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, DMMs, or RF equipment preferred
• Familiarity with automated calibration software (MetCal, NI Calibration Executive) is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills
• Ability to travel up to 20% (expenses covered)
