Introduction
MWRD's Internship Program offers paid internship positions. While the main focus is on wastewater management, there are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department. Position Title: Environmental Planning and Outreach Intern Department: Board of Commissioners Location: Main Office Building 100 East Erie Street Chicago, IL. 60611 Description: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is seeking a current student for an internship with the Office of the Board of Commissioners. The role includes conducting research and analysis on environmental and waterinfrastructure projects, assisting with reports and executive summaries for newsletters, social media content, and educational materials that support environmental and community outreach initiatives. The intern will also help curate a monthly newsletter highlighting MWRD's impact and achievements and participate in community events to promote sustainability and represent MWRD's mission.
