Description and Requirements
The Brand Project Specialist is the operational engine of Motorola's Global Brand team - ensuring that campaigns, creative workstreams, and cross-functional processes move with clarity, speed, and precision. This role sits at the intersection of project management and brand execution, partnering closely with campaign and brand Managers to keep complex, multi-track work on schedule and on brief.
This is a role for someone who thrives in structured complexity - equally comfortable building a workback schedule and facilitating a cross-functional alignment meeting. You'll be the connective tissue across our Premium, Core, and Commercial campaign tracks, supporting the team's evolution from a downstream execution function to an upstream author of brand strategy and creative direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end project timelines and workback schedules across multiple simultaneous campaign tracks, ensuring milestones are met and risks are flagged early.
* Serve as the day-to-day operational point of contact between the Global Brand team and internal stakeholders including regional marketing teams, product leads, and agency partners.
* Build and maintain clear project tracking systems using tools such as Asana, Jira, or equivalent platforms - ensuring the full team has real-time visibility into status, ownership, and dependencies.
* Develop regular reporting rhythms to provide timely updates to the Campaign Team Lead and Brand Lead on campaign progress, blockers, and upcoming decision points.
* Support budget tracking and forecasting for global brand campaigns, maintaining accurate records of spend against plan and flagging variances proactively.
* Coordinate briefing and intake processes to ensure briefs are complete, aligned, and distributed to the right partners at the right time.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows and operating processes - identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions that increase team velocity and output quality.
* Ensure consistent application of project management standards and documentation practices across all active workstreams.
Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, or brand/creative production - ideally within a global consumer brand, agency, or tech environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification is a plus, not a requirement.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with overlapping timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or similar); comfort adopting new platforms as needed.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL. This is an on-site role with no remote flexibility.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong organizational skills with a bias toward structure, clarity, and follow-through - you close loops and don't let things fall through the cracks.
* Clear, confident communicator - written and verbal - with the ability to manage up, across, and externally without losing the thread.
* Collaborative by nature; able to work with creative, strategic, and operational stakeholders without defaulting to any one mode.
* Comfortable working in ambiguity - especially during a period of organizational evolution - while still bringing order and momentum.
* Foundational understanding of marketing metrics, campaign anatomy, and creative production timelines.
* Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture; knows when to escalate and when to solve.
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $85k-95K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
