LPN Dispensing Nurse - PRN

The Dispensing Nurse will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

• Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
• Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
• Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
• Assess individual response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
• Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medicationcharts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor's orders, etc., as required
• Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all individuals, including making outside referrals when necessary
• Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications)

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
• 1 year of nursing experience is required
• Experience with drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage is required.
• Experience with chemically dependent populations preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
• Current CPR certification
• Mist be available to work: Sat-Sun, 7:00am-10:00am
