Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for a Communications Manager. This position is responsible for developing and managing internal marketing communications and training materials to promote quality, safety, efficiency, and morale within the factory. The role includes preparing publications and communication tools for a variety of events, overseeing vendors for communication and event needs, and supporting overall plant initiatives and administrative tasks. Additionally, the position may also coordinate and manages company events, community outreach, charitable activities, and employee engagement programs for groups ranging from small to large. This position is located in Denton, TX.
Job Responsibilities
- Create Peterbilt HR marketing communications for internal use not be limited to, quality, safety, efficiency, and morale.
- Prepare publications and communication tools for tours, safety activities, events, community events, and employee engagement events such as a Weekly Newsletter, SharePoint Graphics, Flyers, etc.
- Continuously optimize communication channels and formats with Advanced Technology not limited to AI.
- Manage and Standardized communications such as all employee meetings, plant wide, leadership updates, and organizational announcements
- Partner closely with HR on priority communication areas including and not limited to: Benefits and total rewards, Talent programs (onboarding, development, performance), Safety and compliance messaging, Employee Events, etc)
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other business departments to ensure aligned and coordinated communications
- Support internal training material for Peterbilt HR utilizing PowerPoint and videos.
- Manage various vendors for communication and HR /Employee Events and related needs. (i.e. printed material, signage, employee engagement products, entertainment services, offsite venues, etc.)
- Provide support to Peterbilt HR initiatives, goals, activities, and administrative tasks.
- Responsible for taking pictures on Internal Events and Coordinating Employee Professional Pictures for Peterbilt.
- Support recruiting strategy communications for PB Employees.
- Management , Maintenance and Design of HR Sharepoint and Employee Portal.
- Positively promote events to reflect PACCAR's strong ethical and professional image.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in graphics software - Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
- Proficiency in SharePoint
- 1to 2 years of event planning or trainer/facilitator/public speaking experience
- Exceptional writing skills (executive-level clarity)
- Strong experience in internal communications and employee engagement programs
- Expertise in communication channels and digital tools (intranet, email platforms, Teams/Slack, etc.)

- Confidently interact with all levels of management internal and external to the organization.
- Must be able to lead people in a group setting, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving and oral/written skills.
- Must be organized with a strong attention to detail and manage/complete multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to anticipate event needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs with a strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and AI
- Respond and react to sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
- Be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends (< 10%).
