Overview & Position Summary

This position provides leadership for the Loan Servicing function, overseeing day-to-day operations that support accurate, compliant, and timely loan servicing activities. This role manages a team of professionals, ensuring that procedures, service standards, and organizational goals are consistently met. This position collaborates with internal partners to strengthen operational efficiency, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of service delivery. This role also supports continuous improvement efforts through monitoring performance, refining processes, and reinforcing best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish operational goals and priorities for the Loan Services team to support short-term functional objectives.
  • Lead and supervise Loan Servicing professionals, providing direction, guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed across the team.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant servicing actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support seamless workflow execution and issue resolution.
  • Analyze operational challenges and apply prior experience and judgment to solve difficult issues.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and service quality, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Support system upgrades, workflow enhancements, and procedural updates within the Loan Services area.
  • Communicate expectations, process changes, and organizational initiatives to team members.
  • Contribute to broader planning for operational efficiency, customer service, and regulatory readiness.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in loan servicing, consumer lending operations, or related financial services functions, or equivalent (e.g., 8-10 years)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Industry-specific experience in loan servicing, post-closing, or regulated lending operations
  • Leadership experience managing or supervising a team

Preferred:

  • Prior management experience within mortgage or consumer lending operations.
  • Knowledge of servicing systems, payment processes, escrow management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience implementing operational improvements or workflow changes.

  • Broad knowledge of loan servicing processes and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for difficult operational issues.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a general office or remote-office environment using computers, servicing systems, and communication technologies. Occasional travel may be required for team leadership, training, or operational coordination. Workload may vary based on servicing cycles, regulatory updates, and organizational priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing servicing information and system data.
  • Ability to lift or carry light materials such as laptops or documents.
  • Frequent use of computers, software systems, and communication tools.
  • Ability to move within office areas for team collaboration and meetings.
  • Ability to maintain focus during detailed operational review and supervisory activities.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
