Your opportunity

We are looking for a super-organized and detailed-oriented Office Coordinator to support our San Francisco office! Please note that this is a fully in-office role requiring your presence 5 days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. New Relic is a vibrant web services company whose people and culture make us who we are today. The main responsibilities for this role include overall reception duties, facilities coordination, vendor management, operational budget management & event planning. This role must develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal partners and provide a high level of care and customer service to multiple stakeholders (employees,guests, vendors etc).

What you'll do



  • Reception services: Greet employees, guests, and vendors. Provide a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a high-quality experience for all guests and employees
  • Manage access badges, working closely with our Physical Security Program Manager and the building's security team
  • Conduct regular inspections of office equipment and kitchen appliances to identify maintenance needs, oversee and ensure prompt repairs to support a high-functioning workspace
  • Oversee office supply inventory; responsible for ordering, stocking communal areas, and managing backstock organization to maintain an efficient and tidy workspace
  • Support Health and Safety and emergency preparedness program support (e.g. first aid kit & defibrillator vendor)
  • Oversee the office snack and beverage program by managing inventory, checking for product freshness, and curating selections that align with employee preferences and budget guidelines
  • Plan and coordinate in office events including scheduling, determining location, decorating, ordering food, entertainment and other support services
  • Partner with Executive Assistants and Chief of Staff with onsite support as needed (e.g. food order set up, escorting guests around office)
  • answer tickets that come in from employees (eg inquiries on business cards, general office information, ergonomic assessment scheduling etc)
  • Own company voicemail email routing
  • Manage end-to-end mailroom operations, including FedEx label creation, receiving mail, date-stamping, and digitizing incoming correspondence to ensure accurate and timely distribution to appropriate departments
  • Support culture-building initiatives, partnering with Social Impact lead to serve as a local "champion", helping to source and promote local opportunities for Relics to volunteer.


This role requires



  • 2+ years experience in office coordinator or facilities role
  • Strong customer service orientation with a vibrant, outgoing personality with a natural ability to build rapport and serve as the welcoming 'face' of the office
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Experience with event planning and program coordination
  • Flexible and adaptable, ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work efficiently within deadlines
  • Familiarity with mac, Jira, Coupa, Google Workplace, and Slack
  • Must be currently located within a commutable distance of San Francisco, CA
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite in our San Francisco office 5 days a week

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of hourly pay for the listed position. This role may be eligible for the corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
