Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a respected financial institution, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and support access awareness while helping to deter security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will provide outstanding customer service and communication, staying visible, agile, and reliable while working with integrity and teamwork to support a professional environment.

Pay Rate: $19.62 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobby areas, office spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to identify and report suspicious activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor and/or contractor activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
