Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Unit in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol the location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This armed and driving post offers the opportunity to respond to situations with confidence, complete routine patrols, and work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, remaining prepared to respond to access control issues, disturbances, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, helping to deter unauthorized activity and supporting appropriate response measures when needed.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and communicate professionally with occupants and visitors regarding site rules, directions, and/or security-related questions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
