As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist Associate in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following posted instructions, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related property, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and public-facing areas, assist with directing visitors and staff, and/or help to address policy violations in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal protocols by communicating clearly with supervisors, local contacts, and/or public agency representatives regarding incidents, hazards, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
