Tier 2 Network Engineer We are seeking a Tier 2 Network Engineer to support network lifecycle management across a large-scale retail environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the health, accuracy, and reliability of network infrastructure through device transitions, incident resolution, and inventory management within the Meraki Dashboard. You will work closely with field operations, vendors, and store locations to ensure timely resolution of network issues and successful lifecycle management of network devices. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical end users are essential to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting * Monitor and triage network alerts and incidents * Resolve intermediate-level issues related to network hardware * Perform troubleshooting across network devices and environments Configuration & Device Management * Conduct configuration reviews for new and existing devices * Validate template assignments and update configurations as needed * Verify proper configuration of newly deployed devices Network Lifecycle Support * Support lifecycle activities including device replacement and decommissioning * Ensure outdated devices are properly removed from systems and dashboards * Assist with updates to network topology and environment changes Documentation & Reporting * Maintain network diagrams, standards, and procedural documentation * Provide detailed progress reporting on lifecycle activities * Ensure accurate tracking of network inventory and device status Field & Stakeholder Support * Provide direct support to store managers and field teams during incidents * Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences * Coordinate with vendors and deployment partners to resolve issues Project & Process Support * Support lifecycle activities and operational processes tied to network environments * Assist with coordination of deployment and transition efforts * Follow established standards and workflows Required Skills * Meraki and Meraki Dashboard * Network troubleshooting * Network lifecycle support * Customer support and end-user communication * Documentation and reporting * Project coordination Experience Level Intermediate Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodlettsville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
