As a Regulatory Affairs Analyst, you will be an individual contributor in the Product Development Department of US Health Group, part of UnitedHealthcare. You will research, draft contract language, and analyze regulatory changes in the health care system. This is the challenge of a lifetime.

This role requires you to be nimble as you work with government agencies as well as our highly matrixed business. Your communication skills will be put to the test when you provide high-level insight into regulatory changes and how they will affect different stakeholders and operational areas.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with up to four in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft state specific contract language that is compliant with state and federal insurance statutes and/or regulations
  • Submit insurance contracts to state departments of insurance for regulatory review and, where necessary, approval
  • Respond to inquiries, requests and actions by regulators, including complaints and requests for assistance
  • Complete internal regulatory review and filings related to marketing materials
  • Perform other regulatory research, report generation, audits, corrective action plan oversight and review new laws/regulations/guidance
  • Analyze and resolve policy and regulatory issues to meet both business and regulatory requirements and to protect our reputation with our members and the public
  • Conduct industry and competitive analysis for product opportunities
  • This is a hybrid position that can require up to four days in our Fort Worth, TX office, per week

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in health insurance OR 2+ years of experience with regulatory affairs and/or compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Legal or regulatory compliance background, education, or training
  • Experience of responding to inquiries from a variety of stakeholders (external customers, internal customers, executives and regulators)
  • Demonstrated problem identification and resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize across a dynamic set of workload responsibilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytic experience and attention to detail

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role willrange from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
