Summary
A temporary external undergraduate research assistant will help generate molecular biology research reagents, perform experiments, analyze data, and maintain a laboratory notebook and computer files.

Duties
100% Research: Routine tasks include preparation of research reagents, solutions and media. The employee will produce recombinant genes, perform cell culture, perform biochemical experiments and assays, and perform molecular and cellular biology experiments. The employee will be responsible for analyzing data and documenting their work in a laboratory notebook, and presenting and discussing their results at weekly lab meetings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
High School or GED
Experience in molecular and cellular biology laboratory techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those with previous laboratory experience, especially in the areas of RNA biology and gene expression.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 / hour depending on education/qualifications/experience.
