Quality Assurance Engineer

Pay Range: $40-55

Core Responsibilities

  • Apply quality principles to production control, design evaluations, and engineering workflows to ensure specifications and product requirements are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with Quality Program Managers (QPMs), production teams, and other stakeholders to improve quality workflows within the Oldsmar site and partner locations.
  • Lead root-cause investigations into product failures, analyze defect trends, and implement corrective/preventative measures directly tied to systemic improvements.
  • Systems Design & Testing
  • Develop and refine inspection processes and contribute to building advanced testing mechanisms and systems to streamline quality procedures.
  • Commodities and Site Collaboration
  • Support quality for commodities like CCAs, cables, and box assemblies manufactured at the Oldsmar location for internal customers across other sites.
  • Drive process alignment across partner programs and hardware teams within nearby locations.
  • Quality System Design and Analytics
  • Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends for actionable next steps.
  • Initiate automation and AI solutions to reduce errors, improve inspection rates, and drive predictive quality outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills - adept at collaborating across sites and program teams.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards or equivalent aerospace quality models.
  • Comfortable with hardware engineering requirements, integration, and system testing processes.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing requirements and quality engineering systems.
  • Must be US citizen
  • High school diploma or GED

Desired Skills

  • Tableau and other data visualization platforms for quality tracking.
  • Certifications like Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with commodities such as CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components.
  • Familiarity with IPC and J-STD standards essential for component and system analysis.
