Overview

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Analyst II/III to join our team! In this position, you will provide support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. This position is available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform CM / Data Management (DM) functions, including but not limited to, CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Audits and Data Management
  • Review/update plans, processes, and procedures associated with the CM functional areas (i.e., Configuration Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Audits, and Data Management)
  • Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in support of configuration process management
  • Participate in technical reviews, Integrated product teams, and working groups representing CM efforts
  • Provide Status Reports / Metrics utilizing MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other tools
  • Enter and maintain data records and perform database management
  • Support Local Configuration Control Board (LCCB) meetings by generating agendas, minutes, and capturing/tracking action items to closure
  • Track documents/changes through a technical review process and consolidate comments for adjudication meetings
  • Maintain file repositories and workflows in online repositories (such as iPDM, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Attend and participate in various Baseline (B/L), Working Groups, and Integrated Program Reviews meetings
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all CDRLs
  • Generate the Monthly Status Report (MSR) and prepare/present In-Process Review (IPR) presentations
  • Perform Quality Assurance of configuration data to ensure accuracy
  • Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes for all work performed on task

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance
  • High School diploma
  • Five (5) - Seven (7) years or more of experience with DoD configuration management, documentation management, and/or certification experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills; must possess ability and willingness to present technical material to Navy leadership at the 0-6 Flag/SES level (department heads, program office, etc.)
  • Understanding of the 5 Functional Areas of CM which include Configuration Planning, Configuration Control, Configuration identification, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Audit
  • Highly proficient with MS Office tools, primarily MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers and government customers
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers
  • Excellent written communication skills; working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work



Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • Possession of excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience with Informedb and the PEO IWS 6.0 Information Center (Crane)
  • Prior Track Management - Navigation experience
