Job Overview

The Supply Chain Summer Intern supports the Supply Chain Management team by assisting with projects, data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and operational support activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to healthcare supply chain functions in a collaborative, professional environment. Work is performed under close to moderate supervision.

The intern may support projects related to:

  • Process improvement
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Performance metrics and KPI development
  • Operational and administrative support
  • Research and project coordination

Job Status: Temporary
Duration: 6/1/2026 - 8/31/2026
Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 4- to 8-hour shifts

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with departmental projects, including project planning, coordination, milestone tracking, and meeting preparation.
  • Collects, organizes, validates, and analyzes data to support decision-making and identify trends or opportunities.
  • Creates reports, summaries, dashboards, and visual presentations for leadership and project teams.
  • Assists in documenting workflows, processes, standard operating procedures, and job aids.
  • Conducts research, benchmarking, and information-gathering activities to support departmental initiatives.
  • Provides administrative and operational support for supply chain activities and projects.
  • Participates in meetings with team members and stakeholders and documents action items and follow-up tasks.
  • Maintains files, records, and project documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and escalates questions, issues, or barriers appropriately.
  • Participates in continuous learning and may present project findings and recommendations to leadership.

Scope & Level

  • Guidelines: Trains in the field and assists higher level personnel to acquire learning through practical experience.
  • Complexity: Performs routine and/or basic tasks common to the field. Procedures, methods, and techniques to be used are well established with options to be considered well defined. Tools, work aids, and materials to be used are specified.
  • Decision Making: Duties assigned are primarily routine, repetitive, and restricted in intricacy with little or no discretion in how they are carried out.
  • Communications: Contacts with team members, clients or the public where factual information relative to the organization or its functions are received, relayed, or a service rendered according to established procedures or instructions.
  • Supervision Received: Under close supervision, the employee receives training to develop skills and abilities in a specific line of work or general occupational area. Work product is subject to close, continuous inspection.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities

  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Interest in healthcare operations or supply chain

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education
    • Current enrollment in, or recent graduate of, an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Area of Study
    • Supply Chain Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, Operations Management

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $15.78 to $23.67
