Logistics Analyst, Reverse Logistics

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and process-driven Logistics Analyst to serve as the returnable packaging liaison within our supply chain organization. This role addresses a critical ownership gap across returnable packaging shipments by establishing a single-threaded owner and escalation point for all returnable shipment issues in transit. As the centralized logistics point of contact, you will partner closely with site analysts, carriers, brokers, the returnable packaging team, and supplier stakeholders to ensure fast issue resolution, consistent execution, and standardized carrier performance.

This role covers returnable shipments across Tesla sites, with end-to-end ownership of exception management. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong cross-functional collaboration skills, a keen eye for operational efficiency, and the ability to drive accountability across internal teams and external partners.

• Analyze logistics data systems (TMS, ERP, WMS) to identify process gaps and design system improvements for returnable packaging tracking
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to specify system functionality and reporting needs
• Design and test system configurations for shipment visibility, exception management, and carrier performance dashboards while leading implementations of new tracking technologies and system integrations across returnable packaging networks
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate logistics data from multiple systems; create Tableau/Power BI dashboardsto drive data-driven decision making for carrier performance and shipment exception trends
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for technology upgrades andautomation initiatives in returnable packaging logistics
• Partner with IT teams to specify system requirements and oversee deployment of logistics technology solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies for shipment tracking, IoT sensors, and automated exception detection; document system workflows, user guides, and technical specifications for training and compliance purposes

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing logistics, supply chain, or relatd field
• Knowledge of freight forwarding terms, standards, Incoterms, and cross-border logistics operations across the US, Mexico, and Canada, including customs documentation and regulatory requirements
• Experience with ERP and TMS systems; ability to identify process gaps and collaborate with systems teams to implement improvements
• Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and operational efficiency gains; strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Knowledge of SQL and Tableau preferred
