As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify entry and/or exit activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized access for employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal team members regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
