Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Construction Management (CM) North Bay Area Team Lead to expand our Construction Management practice in a high-demand infrastructure market.


This role builds established client relationships, proven delivery teams, and a strong pipeline of water, wastewater, stormwater, pipeline, and related infrastructure work.


The right leader will strengthen market presence throughout the California Bay Area and Sacramento, win new work, mentor staff, and guide the next phase of growth with the support of a national, employee-owned firm.


What You'll Do

As a Construction Management Team Lead, you'll combine business development, client leadership, team development, and project oversight to grow a regional practice.



  • Drive market growth: Identify, pursue, and win new Construction Management opportunities with municipal and private sector clients.
  • Expand client relationships: Use local relationships, market knowledge, and industry involvement to strengthen KJ's presence.
  • Build and lead teams: Mentor staff, support hiring strategy, and scale resources to meet project demand.
  • Lead pursuits and delivery: Manage key projects while guiding pursuit strategy, proposal development, and client engagement.
  • Guide project performance: Oversee scope, schedule, staffing, financial performance, risk, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant Construction Management experience, including business development, project delivery, and team leadership.
  • Technical background: Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, pipeline, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Licensure: PE license in California required.
  • Preferred experience: Familiarity with alternative delivery methods such as GCCM, PDB, or DB.


This role requires full-time presence on project sites and in the office as needed. KJ offers relocation support if needed.


Salary Range for this position is anticipated to be $185,000 to $275,000, and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
