The Distribution Center / Warehouse area is responsible for directing, controlling and monitoring of the warehousing and distribution of materials or finished goods. Responsible for receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment. Plans the movement of materials to ensure the efficiency of warehouse operations.
Complexity -Range of tasks performed is standardized but may conta in multiple steps. Applies intermediate technical knowledge in use of resources. Identifies and solves basic problems and presents alternatives in a useful/logical manner. Problems may involve uncommon variations of issues or situations. Coordinates information exchange and builds working relationship wi th immediate supervisor or co-workers to accomplish work steps and solve problems. Provides informal technical support and on-the-job training on specific tasks to new team members.
Supervision -Works under general supervision; typically sets own priorities wi thi n es ta blished processes. Defined guidelines and standards or precedents guide independent judgment. Follows technical procedures; receives periodic supervision on new procedures. Impact of work is related to quality of execution. Applies provided continuous improvement concepts. Participates in projects .
Experience -Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1-3 year of related experience
Skill -Applies intermediate understanding/knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment and systems in technical area
