Overview

We are currently hiring for a full-time Equipment Engineer in our Benicia, CA office. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and, sometimes, specialized training or certification.

American Civil Constructors West Coast, MasTec's Clean Energy & Infrastructure (CE&I) segment established in 1987, is a Heavy Civil Construction company. We are qualified to bid and perform work for State DOT's and City & County Public Works agencies all over the United States.

Responsibilities

    Assist maintenance staff maintain and optimize trucking fleet and construction equipment such as volumetric mixers, pavers, and shot blasters to ensure project efficiency and safety production
  • Plan maintenance schedules, troubleshoot malfunctions, and often oversee equipment logistics, budgeting, and, in some cases, direct operation


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or a similar engineering field is preferred but not required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
    Well-qualified candidates will be proficient in computer design software, and knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Valid driver's license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task and successfully coordinate your projects without direct supervision are all essential to this job
