Summary:
*Maintain updated Linen Services employee guide. *Coordinates and oversees the internal distribution of patient linen, operating room linen and staff attire throughout the main campus and ancillary sites. *Responsible for the MGH laundry account reconciliation process to include accurate expense recovery and billing to internal users; partners with Partners Corporate Finance on monthly reporting requirements. *Responsible for the annual submission of the operating and capital budgets. *Responsible for oversight of operational production processes: inventory control, scheduling and cart building. *Ensures that soiled linen is packed, transported and states and designated locations for vendor pick-ups as scheduled. *Must communicate JCAHO and DPH requirements and standards to staff and monitor compliance. *Responsible for the hospital's scrub uniform par level and distribution. *Responsible for planning, communicating and executing hospital-wide product linen infusion orders, back-orders/substitutions. *Manages the scrub exchange process and Alex machines throught the hospital. *Liaison from Linen Services to the MGH community with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Serves in a consulting role for MGH end-users on linen offerings, product mix, par levels or other product procurement issues. *Develops and oversees the linen issue escalation/resolution process in Customer Service; interfaces with supervisors across functions to ensure timely issue closure. *Monitors the Customer Service linen call tracking data to ensure that delivery standards are met or par levels adjusted to meet demand. *Manages the efficient staging of emergent linen orders for Customer Service delivery staff. *Act as a liaison between MGB purchasing department and MGH stake holders; and partners with contracts for annual contract renewals. Education 7 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years of managerial/supervisory experience with a staff between 20 to 40 team members.
