Category Public Works - Fleet Location Public Works Pay Rate Hiring Range is $85,500 - $96,900 annually. Full Pay Range is $85,500 - $114,000 annually. Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt Shift Days Description The Fleet Manager oversees all aspects of the Towns fleet operations, including staff supervision, training, maintenance, safety, and asset lifecycle management, to ensure a reliable, efficient, and compliant fleet. This role also manages budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships while supporting organizational needs through strategic planning, innovation, and cross-department collaboration. Certificate from an auto or diesel trade school. Basic computer skills. 8 years of advanced auto/diesel service and repair experience. Two years of supervisory experience. 5 years of purchasing and specifying equipment experience. CDL class B drivers license with tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction or ability to obtain within 6 months. 2 years of basic welding/steel fabrication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Intermediate computer skills. 10 years of advanced auto/diesel service and repair experience. 5 years of budgeting experience.
