This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

The Supervisor I, Warehouse & Distribution Management is primarily responsible for leading team members to ensure efficient operations in warehouse and distribution centers. You will make daily decisions, manage tasks, optimize workflows, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX. Specifics include:

  • Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes.
  • Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members and manage task assignments
  • Optimize storage space, material flows, and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments for timely distribution
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
  • Train and mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, and drive talent development
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Lead performance management and enhance employee engagement
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc. +6 yrs; M.S. +0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of relevant experience
  • 1 year of demonstrated leadership
  • Work Hours: Monday to Thursday - 4:00 pm to 2:30 am (10 hours) CST
  • Location: Onsite
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
  • Relocation Assistance: None
