Position Summary:

This position is foranMechanical/Hydraulicengineeringinternfor someone with knowledgeofmechanical,hydrauliccomponentsand assemblies. This position focuses on sustaining efforts for existing products (e.g., support for regional production and manufacturing engineering teams) andR&D (research and development)projects as well.

PositionResponsibilities:

R&Dprojects

  • Review global research projects - standards, work done and research implementation for North America

  • Assistwith thebuildof prototypemeters.Interns will be provided with assembly models in3dto be used for reference.

  • Fabricate and assemble prototype components andmodulesused for testing

  • Develop design verification testmethodswith assistance.

  • Write testreportswith assistance.

  • Assistwith designreviews.

  • Assist with FFF, structural testing, hydraulic Cycle testing and regulatory.

Sustaining work

  • Assistwith thebuildof prototypemeters.Interns will be provided with assembly models in3dto be used for reference.

  • Execute and documentmeter and check valvetesting

  • Support and improve testers and test fixtures

  • Come up withrecommendations to improve meter testing process

Qualification Requirements:

  • Enrolled inBS in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering)

  • Knowledge ofSolidWorks CAD system.

  • Proficiencyin MS Office applications (Excel, Word,and PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge ofamanufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge ofmachine shops.

  • Knowledge ofcross-functional design teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of UL hazardous area zoning requirements for fueldispensers.
