We're looking for a Member Services Representative / Loan Assistant who brings energy, accountability, and a genuine passion for helping people. This is a highly visible, frontline role in a familyoriented branch environment where teamwork, initiative, and exceptional service truly matter. Work Schedule & Hours * Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM * No Saturdays currently (no anticipated changes) * Breaks: * 1-hour lunch * 1 fifteen-minute break (flexible based on team needs) Training & Onboarding * Training is conducted in-branch and is hands-on * First few days include: * New hire paperwork * Shadowing experienced team members * Training pace is customized based on how quickly you pick things up * Managers are highly involved and hands-on * Supplemental online training platform provided to support regulations and processes What You'll Do As a Member Services Representative / Loan Assistant, you will: * Open, close, and maintain member accounts * Open and maintain Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) * Assist members with a wide range of Credit Union products and services * Support members with complex and legal account types * Answer member questions via phone, email, and online services * Process transactions including: * Wire transfers * Stop payments * Travel notices * Address changes * Check orders * Support Loan Processing by: * Preparing and sending loan packages * Generating and updating interest rate sheets * Gathering documentation as directed * Provide administrative and clerical support to the Loans department * Maintain organized and accurate filing systems * Step in to support phones and member traffic proactively * Perform additional related duties as needed Experience with DNA/Fiserv banking systems is preferred. What We're Looking For Must Have * Pleasant, welcoming personality with a natural smile * Strong verbal communication skills; articulate and professional * Experience opening and closing customer or member accounts * Willingness to answer phones and assist with challenging member situations * A proactive mindset-we want someone who runs toward problems, not away from them * Strong work ethic and accountability * Team-first attitude: "If something needs to be done, I'll do it" * High standards for customer service and professionalism Plymouth Branch Specific * Down-to-earth, easygoing personality * Fits well into a fun, familyoriented, closeknit team culture * Enjoys working collaboratively and building relationships Nice to Have * Banking or Credit Union experience * Experience with DNA banking software * Knowledge of: * Death claims * Guardianships * Power of attorney / conservatorships * Debit card setup and maintenance * Home banking support * Fraud issue resolution * Account inquiries and servicing * Retail or service background * Sports background or competitive mindset preferred (coachability, accountability, teamwork) Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Plymouth, MI.
